Anybody have family in East Tennessee??
by Junction-Guy indoes anyone on here have family in east tennessee that are jw's?
and would you like for me to anonymously try to anti-witness to them?
i could go to their neighborhood and go from house to house warning people of the dangers of the jw religion, and i could "call" on your family member in the process.----------this could work especially well for those who have family or friends who are new studies.

besides nicknaming the religion "the truth", this is just another example of how the wtbts brainwash jws to think that the truth and the watchtower are the same thing.
i think this might be why jws, before hearing anything negative about the watchtower, already decide that it is false or they defend it.

Being from Canada, I can remember snow banks 10 ft. high. We never get anything like that anymore. Hav'nt for years. This year has been really strange. We didn't even get snow, till January was almost over. It seems like global warning has turned the tables in certain areas. This country never gets effected by bad snowstorms, as other places do. That is because ,heavy storms, have always been a part of our culture and history. By the time I wake up, all the streets are clean. Never even give it second thought. Even during the great ice storm of 97, I never even lost power where I was living. Over 30,000 telephone poles had to be replaced. I hope you are keeping well, and just take it in stride. The board is a fine distraction, to stave off cabin fever.

I get far less angry in life, when I take God and Satan out of the picture, and deal with reality as it is. God and Satan don't run my affairs. I do. It leaves you feeling helpless to accept that you are at the hands of some cosmic force and there is nothing you can do to change things. At any rate, if I leave them both out of the picture, in my affairs, they both lose, and that makes me happier.

It wasn't easy at all. My whole social network collapsed and my beleif structure. Family support was very weak. The irony, was that they told me, I was taking the easy way out! Glad I never gave up!

Is it unhealthy for JW's to be so negative?
by JH inwe often hear that we have to be postive in order to remain healthy.. are there more negative people than the jw's?
the end is close and just about everything is bad and from satan they say.. considering all this, is it healthy to be a jw?.

Sometimes the negative is the reality. If the negative doesn't kill you first you can learn a lot by facing it. If one fills there head with anything other than reality, then there are no tools to use in the real world. I don't see advancement as possible if you don't analyse the negatives as well. It's a part of life. I don't see the JW reality as a healthy or balanced worldveiw . Therefore the resulting negativity is unhealthy because they are not learning from there life experience.
